Welcome to November

A message from the Editor – Shanelle Schick

Hello

Welcome to the November Edition of The Hub Capricorn Coast. I can’t believe that it’s November already! The pointy end of the year has come around so fast with the countdown to the end of the school year, the number of sleeps until Christmas and wrapping things up for the year with get togethers and festivities.

October was a busy month for us. We entered in the Yeppoon Lions Pinefest Grand Street Parade, held our 3rd Walk for Wellbeing in support of Queensland Mental Health week, attended the Mum’s in Business first evening Networking Event in Yeppoon and got out and about chatting and connecting with community to bring you the stories in this edition.

The 28th Edition of The Hub Capricorn Coast has a host of local health and wellbeing news and information instore for you. I sat down with Heidi, our resident astrologer and writer of our Moon Musings column to chat with her about the recent opening of her hair salon VirgoSol. Studio Pilates International Yeppoon turns 1 this month and I caught up with franchise owner Jess to hear how the first year has been and to find out what’s planned to celebrate the studio’s first birthday. Our local Community Centre will also celebrate a birthday in November – its 35th one and I spent some time with Robyn and the volunteers to learn more about what’s on offer and how the community is coming together with some exciting ventures and offerings.

Plus read on for the wrap-up of this year’s Walk for Wellbeing – our biggest one yet! Another great day of bringing our community together in connection. Yeppoon now has its own magnesium float tank at Natureal Elements which I had the pleasure of experiencing, you can find my review later on in the edition.

Our regular columnists have lots of valuable and helpful information in their columns for again this month. We are always open and welcoming of new contributors jumping on board and joining us to share and educate. Please reach out if you’d like to know more. As we slide into the past couple months of 2024, I hope that you find the time to reflect on the year that has been so far, take stock of what you have achieved and accomplished and get the opportunity to enjoy the last couple months of the year. Wishing you a fantastic month and I look forward to connecting with you throughout the month. I’ll be back with the December edition, which will have a festive focus.

Until then, take care!

Shanelle
