Welcome to The Hub Capricorn Coast – Your Guide to all Things Body, Mindy & Soul on the Capricorn Coast!

Each month we produce and publish a digital magazine featuring all things health and wellbeing in our local Capricorn Coast community with the intention to keep the local community informed and updated. More than ever health and wellbeing is at the forefront of many people’s minds and we love gathering and collating this information to bring it to you in a comprehensive one-stop shop magazine. We know how frustrating it is seeing advertising for fantastic events after they have happened, so we’ve made it our mission to bring all the local wellbeing information together in one easy-to find place each month.

We offer a FREE business directory to allow all local businesses the opportunity to access advertising on our platform as well as affordable advertising packages to assist local small businesses help spread the word.

Community and connection are at the forefront of all that we do. We have developed our very own Wellbeing Library which is home to over 200 books, oracle cards, DVDs with a health and wellbeing focus. Head on over to our community page to check out what’s available.

The Hub Giving Fund was established as our random act of kindness kitty for our community. We know all too well that sometimes when the chips are down and you really need a helping hand, that it’s usually when finances are also at their tightest. Through the generosity of our local business community, we have been able to provide community members with massage, workshop tickets, art events and attendance at International Women’s Day events. More details about The Hub Giving fund can be found under the Community tab.

Creating and running events are part of who we are.

We love collaborating with other local businesses to bring our town and community together. The Walk for Wellbeing was started in 2023 and is an annual event on the last Sunday of Queensland Mental Health Week in October. The walk commences at Farnborough Beach with a water stop at Ross Creek, morning tea at Lammermoor Beach and finishing up with a barbecue at the Kemp Hill picnic area. We have some fantastic paths and scenery to take in. The aim of the walk is to raise awareness around mental health and to take the time to enjoy the beauty that is right at our fingertips that we may not necessarily get to enjoy in the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.

International Women’s Day is another annual event on the calendar. The Hub Capricorn Coast team up with Coastal Kinesiology to bring the local community and event of connection and recognition of the incredible local women and women in business that we have the honour of working alongside.

We are locals at heart and we’re passionate about helping the community connect and grow! If you have an idea for an event that you would like a helping hand to get up and off the ground, reach out and connect with us, we’re more than happy to chat!

How It All Started………

Back in 2017, we began as an email newsletter, sent out each month in PDF format with a mission to keep the local community informed and updated with the latest health and wellbeing news and information. This format ran for about 18 months before taking a hiatus.

Fast forward to 2022, where our Editor, Shanelle Schick, began receiving nudges and inspiration to bring The Hub Capricorn Coast back to the community in a new, updated format and so the digital magazine format was born. The first edition was published in July 2021. Each month since then we have published a quality magazine for our local community.

We get a real buzz out of supporting and cheering on our local small businesses in the health and wellbeing industry. We’re incredibly blessed with a community of wonderful people who are doing fantastic things in our community and it’s a real honour to highlight them each month in our magazine.

We are more than just a digital magazine. We are a community, growing and supporting our own backyard. Our cups are filled by witnessing amazing people who are passionate about what they do, get to do that each day. We’ll continue to support local business owners in any way that we can.
