Critical Mass Of Good or Poor Health

By Brian Drummond – Recharge Remedial Therapy

We may not have total control over our health and wellbeing, but there’s a lot we can do.

Think of your health like a piggy bank. Every day, you’re either putting coins in or taking them out. The healthy stuff you do? Those are the coins going in. The not-so-healthy habits? Those are taking coins out.

There’s this magic point called the “critical mass.” It’s like when your piggy bank gets so full, it starts overflowing with good health. Or, on the flip side, when it gets so empty that you’re scraping the bottom – that’s when health problems start popping up.

Let’s say you’re doing things like eating your veggies, going for walks, and getting enough sleep. Each of these actions might seem small on their own, but they’re all adding up. Keep at it long enough, and you hit that critical mass of good health. You’re feeling great, full of energy, and your body’s working like a well-oiled machine.

But it works the other way too. Skip the gym, binge on junk food, and pull all-nighters too often, and those unhealthy habits start piling up. Before you know it, you’ve hit a critical mass of not-so-great health. That’s when you might start noticing you’re always tired, getting sick more often, or dealing with other health issues.

The takeaway? Those little choices we make every day? They matter. A lot. It’s not about being perfect all the time, but about tipping the scales in the right direction more often than not. Remember, small steps can lead to big changes over time. So, why not start adding some “health coins” to your piggy bank today?
