Shanelle is a true Yeppoon local, having been born and raised here. After completing High School at Yeppoon State High School, she ventured off to study, work in hospitality in various locations across Australia including the Blue Mountains, Ayers Rock, Port Douglas and Cairns , travel and teaching English in Japan, landed her back in her hometown several years later.
A career as a Travel Agent for many years, Shanelle has also been part of many local community groups including the Keppel Coast Girl Guides, the Busi Women Inc group and the local Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness Group, as well as having her own business.
Shanelle has chosen Yeppoon to raise her children and has a vested interest in the local community, bringing people together and forging connections and partnerships.
Since her childhood, Shanelle has had a love of writing and informing the community. During her primary school years she would often submit articles to The Morning Bulletin for publication.
When she’s not working on the latest edition of The Hub Capricorn Coast or planning her next community event, chances are you’ll find her hanging out at the beach writing poetry and just watching the waves roll in.
Shanelle has a passion for supporting local holistic health and wellbeing businesses and has recently launched a Virtual Assistant arm to the business.
